HSH Nordbank blue race
The HSH Nordbank blue race started on 16 June 2007 Newport, Rhode Iceland (USA) to Hamburg. Across the Atlantic, led about 3,600 nautical miles north around Britain, to the same. The race was open to all monohull offshore yachts with a length of 40 feet (12.20 meters). By the Norddeutscher Regatta Verein (NRV) initiated regatta was aligned in collaboration with the New York Yacht Club (NYYC).

At the HSH Nordbank blue race the sailors expected in June "white nights" of the stormy North Atlantic. For weeks, the crews will see no land. To the way the yachts and their crew during the HSH Nordbank blue race also can track on land, a so-called Fleet Tracker is used.
